Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Land of Giants
Your adventure begins as you leave the vibrant town of Arusha and head towards Tarangire National Park , known for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees. The scenic drive offers your first taste of Tanzania’s wild beauty.
Once inside the park, you’ll be captivated by the vast landscapes and abundant wildlife. Tarangire is especially famous for its large concentrations of elephants, ancient baobabs, and diverse birdlife. You may also spot lions, leopards, wildebeest, and the occasional herd of buffalo.
As the day winds down, you'll retreat to your lodge or tented camp near the park, where you can relax and enjoy a delicious meal under the African sky.
Day 2
Tarangire to Serengeti National Park – Into the Endless Plains
Today brings a journey from Tarangire into the legendary Serengeti National Park , one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife sanctuaries. As you travel, the landscape transforms from dry savannah woodlands to the sweeping grasslands that define the Serengeti.
You’ll begin your first game drive along the way or upon arrival, offering your first glimpses of this vast ecosystem teeming with life. Keep an eye out for cheetahs resting on termite mounds, acrobatic birds in flight, and if you're lucky, a pride of lions stalking their prey.
Settle into your accommodation in the central or southern Serengeti, where you can unwind and prepare for a full day of exploration tomorrow.
Day 3
Full Day in Serengeti National Park – Heart of the Migration
Today is dedicated to discovering the true essence of the Serengeti — the land of the Great Migration , endless plains, and unparalleled wildlife viewing.
Enjoy a full day of game drives across the golden savannah, where nature unfolds in dramatic fashion. You might witness the spectacle of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra crossing rivers under the watchful eyes of crocodiles, or see a leopard lounging in a tree after a successful hunt.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, surrounded by the sounds of the wild. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge or camp for dinner and relaxation.
Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Scenic Highlands & Crater Views
After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area , passing through the scenic highlands and enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
As you approach the crater rim, you’ll catch your first glimpse of the Ngorongoro Crater , often described as a "Garden of Eden." This natural wonder is home to a dense concentration of wildlife living within the collapsed volcanic caldera.
Check into your lodge perched high on the crater rim, where you can relax and take in the breathtaking vistas. A guided walk or cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village may also be arranged.
Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater – Africa’s Wildlife Eden – Return to Arusha
The final highlight of your safari awaits as you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day exploration of this extraordinary sanctuary.
This compact paradise is home to an incredible variety of animals, including all members of the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. You’ll also see hippos wallowing in shallow pools, flamingos painting the soda lakes pink, and countless other species thriving in this unique environment.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before beginning your ascent back to the rim and continuing your journey back to Arusha , where your unforgettable safari comes to an end.
